Resolved Question: Good places to eat in Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad CA?

I love Mexican and Italian food. I only have two Mexican restaurants and one Italian. I've tried out a few other restaurants in the area and Didn't like them. The Macaroni Grill was a little too expensive for how much food they give you and this place called La Paloma was just gross. So I was wondering if any one knew of any nice Mexican/Italian restaurants with big portions and not too expensive. Note: The two Mexican places are Village Cafe and This place (can't remember name) in old Town and that's a little too far for dinner and a move. And Italian place is Mama and Papas Pizza Grotto.
